NOTE there is no need to use proxy settings for your FlatEarth connection.

To check there are no proxy settings on a Windows based computer (Macintosh users see below)...
  1. Open your web browser - the following illustrations are for Internet Explorer
  2. Go to the menu Tools > Internet Options...
  3. Click onto the Connections tab. FlatEarth should be listed as a connection: click on it once.
  4. Click on the Settings... button:

  5. Make sure there is NO tick in the box labelled Proxy server
    proxy_step2 (8K)
  6. Click the button OK on the two open dialogue boxes to close them.
These changes will take effect the next time you connect to FlatEarth.

On a Macintosh computer:
  1. Open your web browser - the following illustrations are for Internet Explorer
  2. Go to the menu Edit > Preferences...
  3. Scroll down on the left to find Network
  4. If necessary click on the triangle to expand the list, then click on Proxies
  5. On the next dialog box make sure there is NO tick in the box labelled Web proxy:
    mac_proxy1 (13K)
  6. Click the button OK on the open dialogue boxes to close it.
These changes will take effect the next time you connect to FlatEarth.
