NOTE there is no need to use proxy settings for your FlatEarth connection.
To check there are no proxy settings on a Windows based computer (Macintosh users see below)...
- Open your web browser - the following illustrations are for Internet Explorer
- Go to the menu Tools > Internet Options...
- Click onto the Connections tab. FlatEarth should be listed as a connection: click on it once.
- Click on the Settings... button:
- Make sure there is NO tick in the box labelled Proxy server
- Click the button OK on the two open dialogue boxes to close them.
These changes will take effect the next time you connect to FlatEarth.
On a Macintosh computer:
- Open your web browser - the following illustrations are for Internet Explorer
- Go to the menu Edit > Preferences...
- Scroll down on the left to find Network
- If necessary click on the triangle to expand the list, then click on Proxies
- On the next dialog box make sure there is NO tick in the box labelled Web proxy:
- Click the button OK on the open dialogue boxes to close it.
These changes will take effect the next time you connect to FlatEarth.
